Baxian Cave (八仙洞) is located by the coast of Changbin Township where the environment resembles that of folklores when the "Baxian" (eight deities) crossed the ocean, giving it its name. This is where Taiwan's oldest prehistoric site was discovered, and due to the religious nature of the cave, the artifacts discovered have a religious feel to them. There is an exhibition center showing the objects found, including pieces made from bones and stone.
