The Taiwan Confucian Temple (台灣孔廟), built in Tainan City during 1665, is the oldest Confucian temple in Taiwan. It has undergone numerous reclassification and renovation during the past 300 or so years. Today, it serves not only as a popular tourist attraction but also preserves ancient Confucian ceremonies which are conducted on a regular basis. The temple also includes storerooms for the ritual implements and musical instruments that are used in these ceremonies.
