Lukang Tianhou Temple (鹿港天后宮) is one of the three major historic sites in Lukang Township of Taiwan. Constructed during the Qing Dynasty and later renovated in 1936, the temple worships Mazu, the Goddess of the Sea. Over a million believers visit the temple every year to pay their respects to the Mazu statue originally imported from Meizhou, China. Additionally, festive ceremonies are planned annually during Mazu's birthday on March 23rd of the lunar year.
