Mengjia Longshan Temple (艋舺龍山寺) is considered by many to be an archetypal example of classical Taiwanese architecture. Built in 1738 by early settlers from Fujian, China, the temple serves as a place of worship and gathering for local residents. Like most temples around Taiwan, there is a mixture of worship to Buddhist and Taoist deities.
